Description : | Rare.Length 60cm. With arrow shaped head and sharply tapered tail. Reddish or brown above, greyish or cream below, often banded with black flecks or darker brown. Ambush hunter of frogs, birds and small mammals. Live bearer of up to 42 young. |
Typical Habitat : | Open forest. Dangerous. Venom strongly neurotoxic, weakly haemolytic and anticoagulant. |
Distribution : | In QLD. From Cairns to Eungella, including continental islands. Northern and eastern Australia. Uncommon in Townsville except Magnetic Island and Herveys Range. |
