Description :Introduced. Young leaves, flowers, immature pods and fruit pulp are edbile. Preparation from pulp and seeds drunk for coughs, colds and diarrhoea or used as a liniment. Fruit eaten as a laxative. Timber is valued for furniture.
Distribution :Northern Australia in coastal areas, on sand dunes above high tide level or in monsoon vine thickets.
