Growth Habit :Spiny shrub or small tree 6-8m tall, single or multi-stemmed, with slender, often drooping, zigzag branches, with stiff spines 7-12mm long at the base of the leaves.
Fruiting Season :Flowering period. September to November.
Description :Introduced. Parkinsonia can form impenetrable thorny thickets along riverbanks and around dams, restricting access to stock watering points.
Distribution :Widespread througthout Australia with flooded black soil areas preferred.
Weed Status :Severe weed problem, all plants to be destroyed.
