Growth Habit :Large tree 10-25m high, with horizontal branching with a dense crown, deciduous.
Fruiting Season :February to May.
Description :Edible fruit, bitter tasting. Concoction from seed pulp drunk for coughs, colds, stomach pain, vomiting and diarrhoea. Infusion from bark used for fish poison.
Distribution :Northern Australia found in lowland rainforest, along streams and in swampy areas.
