Growth Habit :Large tree to 50m tall, with a straight trunk and sparse canopy.
Fruiting Season :Flowering period. June to August.
Description :The timber is used for bridge buliding, flooring and tool handles. Citronellal oil is distilled from the leaves for perfumes and menthol, also a good repellant for cockroaches and silverfish. Food tree for koalas.
Distribution :From Rockhampton to Maryborough and west to Springsure, also common on the western Atherton Tableland with scattered populations between the two. Found on hilly country, ridges and tablelands, usually shallow, gravelly soils low in fertility.
