Description :Body 75cm. Brown to olive with darker, ragged edged bands, lower sides often pink. Scales have raised lines forming parallel keels along the body. Has a distinctive smiling face. Ready biter,lacks venom.Eats young cane toads,frogs and skinks.Lays 12 eggs.
Typical Habitat :Semi aquatic, found near creeks, swamps and lagoons from rainforst margins to open forest.
Distribution :Coastal areas of QLD., N.T. and northern W.A.
