Description :Rare to local area. Length 61cm. Call is very vocal, often utters harsh rattling call as it flies through thick timber.
Typical Habitat :Tropical coastal wetlands and rivers, mud flats, mangroves and paperbark swamps.
Distribution :Common to northern N.T. and tropical QLD coast.
Migration :Vagrant.
