Description :Common. Forearm 44-50mm ; weight 6-13g. Hunts for insects at night, among dense vegetion along gullies,roads and creeks in rainforest and open woodland. Hunts from ground level to the canopy. Observed taking spiders from the ground.
Typical Habitat :Mangroves, woodland, open forest, common in rainforest. Roost in caves, disused mine tunnels, culverts and occasionally houses. Most colonies between 5 to 50 bats, rarely more than 2000.
