Description : | Common. Forearm 44-50mm ; weight 6-13g. Hunts for insects at night, among dense vegetion along gullies,roads and creeks in rainforest and open woodland. Hunts from ground level to the canopy. Observed taking spiders from the ground. |
Typical Habitat : | Mangroves, woodland, open forest, common in rainforest. Roost in caves, disused mine tunnels, culverts and occasionally houses. Most colonies between 5 to 50 bats, rarely more than 2000. |
