| Description : | Rare in the north. Body 16cm ; Tail 11cm ; Weight 120g ; Fur blackish brown. Diurnal. Eats mainly grass and sedge. Nest burrows up to 1m deep, when watterlogged, it nest in tussock grass. Makes tunnels through dense grass, sedge and heath.Litter size3to5. |
