Description :Body 6cm. Pointy nose, long legs. Black brown or grey brown with some mottling. Eggs are laid in clear jelly on water surface, which sinks to the bottom. Only member of the "True" frogs in Australia, which is abudant in most of the world.
Typical Habitat :Rainforest, monsoon forest and woodland. Predatious, ground dwelling, semi aquatic frog mostly seen near permanent creeks at night.
Distribution :North east Arnhem Land and Cape York to Rollingstone.
