Description :Common. Body 7cm ; Tail 6cm ; Weight 11g ; Colour grey-brown. Nocturnal insect-eater, in captivity eats insects, eggs, meat and honey. Females have a pouch and give birth to a litter between 4 to 12, and build small saucer-shaped nest of grass and bark.
Typical Habitat :Rainforest, sclerophyll forest, grasslands, marshlands, and rocky areas. Can be found under sheets of corrugated iron or fallen bark. Exist in outter suburbs of cities. Vulnerable to feral and domestic cats.
Distribution :Northern W.A., Top End N.T., and Cape York to coastal northern N.S.W.
