Description :Common. Body 114mm ; Tail 160mm ; Weight 70g ; Fur reddish-brown to orange-brown adove. Nocturnal. Eats leaves, fruit, seeds and sugarcane[pest if canefields are next to forest].Litter size of 2 to 4.Nest in trees, using pandanus, banana leaves and grass.
Typical Habitat :Rainforest and moist lantana, bracken, grassland and creek verges. In all habitats, restricted to areas with leaf litter and fallen logs. Active climber except for smooth barked trees.
Distribution :Coastal area from Cooktown to Coffs Harbour N.S.W.
