Description :Common. Body 84cm ; Tail 94cm ; Weight 14-21kg. Upper body brownish-grey. Nocturnal. Social, up to 50 in a mob. It is a grazer, feeding on grasses and other herbaceous plants, including ferns. Seldom drinks execpt in drought.
Typical Habitat :Undulating to hilly country with dry open forest and grassy understory.
Distribution :Cooktown to central N.S.W. With it's densest population in southern Queensland and northern N.S.W.
