Description :Uncommon local species. Length 56cm. Wingspan 130cm. Slender, very long winged. Call is a hoarse yelp, weak chatter. Solitary. Soars low over or through tree canopy on rased wings. Favored prey are young birds still in the nest. Builds a large stick nest.
Typical Habitat :Open forest, scrubs, riverine woodlands and heathlands.
Distribution :Rare. Most of the Mainland. Endemic race recorded only in Australia.
Migration :Resident. Unknown if it breeds in local area.
