Description :Rare. Body 6cm ; Tail 5cm ; Forearm 4cm ; Weight 8g ; Woolly dark brown fur with distinctive gold tips. Able to fly slowly in very dense vegetation, hovering for short periods. Mainly eats spiders. Colonies small, up to 9 bats.
Typical Habitat :Rainforest, tall eucalypt forest with rainforest sub-canopy, occasionally eucalypt woodland and paperbark forest. Roosts in Yellow-throated Scrubwren nests.
Distribution :Coastal, Cape York to Bega N.S.W.
