Description : | Rare. Body 30cm ; Tail 30cm ; Weight 900g ; Fur Grey-brown with white spots. Mainly nocturnal. Eats mammals,insects and fruit. The smallest,most arboreal and most aggressive of the Quolls. Dens in hollow tree trunks, favouring eucalypts with reddish bark. |
Typical Habitat : | Eucalypt woodland, beaches, most abundant in broken, rocky country and in eucalypt forest within 150km of the coast. The most successful breeding sites are near creeklines. |
Distribution : | W.A., N.T. and from Cape York to Gympie. |
