Description :Common. Body 7cm ; Tail 45mm ; Forearm 44mm ; Weight 14g ; Black, with mid brown belly. Roosts in small colonies, sometimes with other bats and even Feathertailed Gliders. Preyed on by Owls, Butcherbirds, Currawongs and Cats.
Typical Habitat :Woodland, open forest, urban areas, dry forest, cleared land and sometimes in rainforest.
Distribution :Australia wide, execpt Far North Queensland.
