Description :Length to 30cm. Metallic brown, crown of head and neck darker with a narrow yellow band on neck. Secretive, nocturnal. Reluctant biter. Venom of low toxicity. Lays 5 eggs. Eats skinks.
Typical Habitat :Rainforest and moist open forest. Spends the day sheltering under leaf litter and fallen timber.
Distribution :Coast and ranges of north-east QLD., from Mossman to Townsville.
