Description :Common. Body 117mm ; Tail 97mm ; Weight 79g. ; Fur dark brown, sides, belly and feet orange-brown. Eats insects, nectar, flowers, small birds and mice. Breeds only once a year, males die after mating. Litter size of up to 12. Near Threatened.
Typical Habitat :Rainforest, vine forest, swamps, lantana and creek verges, less common in dry eucalypt forest. Builds leafy nest in tree hollows, linen cuboards, televisions and lounge chairs.
