Description : | Common.Body 39cm ; Tail 34cm ; Weight 3.5kg. Colour, light reddish brown interspersed with silver-white. Eats herbs, grasses, root, tubers and fungi. Bounds on it's hindlegs, uses it's forelegs for turning and carries nesting material in it's curled tail. |
Typical Habitat : | Coastal eucalypt forest to dry open woodland west of the Great Dividing Range. Only occupies areas with a sparse or grassy understorey. Home ranges for males cover 75-110 hectares. Grazes paddocks and roadside verges. |
