Description :Length 40cm. Head arrow shaped, tail is sharply tapered. Red or brown, banded with black or dark brown flecks, belly cream or grey. Eats frogs, reptiles, birds and mammals. Livebearer about 8 young.
Typical Habitat :Dangerous, venom strongly neurotoxic, weakly haemolytic and anticoagulant. Open forest.
Distribution :Cape York to Townsville, Top End N.T. and northern W.A.
