Percival's Life Drawing is hosted at Perc Tucker Regional Gallery by the Life Drawing Townsville group (they can be contacted via their Facebook page here) every Tuesday from 6.30pm - 9.30pm. A fantastic opportunity for artists and students to develop their drawing skills and network with other artists; no bookings required.

Everyone is welcome, no experience is necessary and bookings are not required but participants will need to bring their own drawing materials and paper. Please note that this is not an art class where participants are taught how to draw. 

Location: Perc Tucker Regional Art Gallery, Denham Street entrance
Age: 15+. Under 18s will need their parents to accompany them on the first instance and sign a permission form

This program is designed for under 5 year olds, mums, dads and carers. Set in a playful and creative environment where children are introduced to a range of methods of making, art-box is held at Pinnacles Gallery on the first Tuesday of every month.

Gold coin donation for activities. 

Parent groups are welcome!

It's VooVoo's birthday and she's throwing a wild party. She's bringing her hot jazz band, gorgeous special guests and promises a night filled with decadence and surprise. Come dressed in 20s style and become the speakeasy set celebrating The Roaring Twenties in a smoky, authentic experience of twenties hedonism.

The Roaring Twenties features singer-actor Melissa Western, a hot band of Brisbane's best musicians headed by Tnee Dyer and special guests to recreate the "annee folles" (crazy years) of the 1920s. Filled with excess, decadence and hot jazz this is a night where audience members help create the atmosphere by dressing in theme and becoming the speakeasy crowd.

The T150 Defence Force Air Show and Townsville Bulletin Sky Show will be the most highly-anticipated community event of the T150 Celebrations!

The sky over The Strand will be abuzz with aircraft for the Defence Force Air Show which will commence at approximately 1pm on Saturday, 15 October.

This aviation spectacular will feature a range of the Air Force’s latest aircraft in addition to iconic historic aircraft and warbirds from the past. As aircraft are confirmed, we will add them to this page. The flying programme for the Air Show will also be published closer to the event date.

The Air Show will be followed by the Townsville Bulletin Sky Show which will commence after dusk and feature breathtaking fireworks that will ignite the sky.

Further details on this event will be announced in the coming months.

Get a close and personal insight into one of the Air Force’s most important forward operating bases, RAAF Base Townsville, on Sunday, 16 October.

Entry to RAAF Base Townsville will be via the Ingham Road/Duckworth Street entrance. Gates will open at 10am with the Open Day concluding around 3pm.

There will be free parking available with signs and parking attendants giving directions on the day.

The Open Day is a family friendly event. There will be fairground type rides and other activities for children to enjoy. Pack a picnic or buy lunch from one of the many food and beverage stalls at the Open Day.

A number of military and historic aircraft involved in the Air Show will be on static display for the Open Day. There will be no flying displays, however, some aircraft may depart at the conclusion of the Open Day.

A wide variety of equipment used by members of the RAAF to support Air Operations will be showcased as well as interactive displays.
